Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club’s CEO, Hagai Badash, notified the share-holders of the club that he’s stepping down from his role as CEO and moving on to new business ventures.
Badash will assist in the search for his replacement and will become a Board member to contribute in the execution of the club’s strategic plans in the coming years.
Badash, who joined Maccabi Tel Aviv on September 2016, said: “The decision to join was an exciting personal closure for me, listening to my heart and accepting this offer due to my tremendous love of Basketball, the team and with the goal to make a difference and contribute to the club’s success. I met employees, fans, players, executives and share-holders – all unique, highly-skilled individuals who are giving from their time, money and love of basketball and the team – in totality and professionalism.
“Due to my recent years’ experience in the business and management industry, I believed I could contribute as the CEO to the progress of Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club. It’s important for me to state that the decision has nothing to do with wins or losses at a specific point in the season. I would like to thank the owners of Maccabi Tel Aviv for a fascinating time and for the continued trust to make me a Board Director”.
Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club thanks Hagai Badash, a highly renowned and professional executive and are sure he will continue to help from his experience and talents as the club’s Board member.
