Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club has released Sonny Weems from the team. Due to the irregular chain of events leading to this decision, delicate and private matters, the official release was delayed till Wednesday, Feb. 1st.
Weems averaged 11.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1 steal in 27 minutes during 19 Euroleague games.
He scored in double-figures in 11 of these games with a season high of 24 points against Darussafaka. In the Israeli league, he played in 11 games, averaging 7.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1 steal in 24.3 minutes.
