Fighting till the end. In order to keep any Euroleague playoff hopes alive, Maccabi has to win all of its remaining 7 games, starting from Olympiacos, at home, on Thursday (21:00). The Yellows will face the Greek powerhouse without Devin Smith, Andrew Goudelock, Quincy Miller and Joe Alexander, and also without new addition, Daimon Simpson, who is expected to land in Tel Aviv just a few hours before tip-off.

Coach Ainars Bagatskis: “Olympiacos is one of the most disciplined teams in the Euroleague, that uses any situation that opponent gives them. They know what to do, even without Spanoulis, and tome they’re one of the best teams in the Euroleague. Daimon Simpson is coming to help us rebounding and aggressive wise”.

Guy Pnini: “We’re missing some key guys but those who are healthy should do the work in front of our home crowd. I know Diamon – he can help us, especially with our current situation. We’re a club that has pride so every possible win counts. Olympiacos played well last game vs. Fenerbahce without Spanoulis. I think it’s going to be an interesting game between two big clubs”.

Itay Segev: “We’re a bitshort handed with the injuries but we’re all good basketball players, ready to sacrifice our body and play intensively. Our home court and fans will help us. Coach is doing a good job in preparing us with the video. We’re happy to welcome Diamon who’s a great player and a great guy”
