Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv reached an agreement with Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade to bring in power forward Jonah Bolden, who signed a three-year contract with the Israeli powerhouse on Friday
Bolden (21, 2.08) is a versatile and talented forward-center who’s known for his shooting and rebounding abilities, who can also pass the ball. Jonah was born and raised in Melbourne Australia to an American father who’s considered as a legend in the Australian basketball. Bruce Bolden who played for 17 years in Australia.
At the age of 17 Jonah moved to the United States where he was a standout player for his high school, he then committed to the prestigious UCLA (2016) where he
average 4.6P & 4.8R in the NCAA, after one season of college basketball Jonah decided to go overseas.His first stop was FMP Belgrade (former known as Radnicki) where he averaged 14.9P (41.9% for 3P) 7.2R, 1S and1B per game in the Adriatic league. Jonah helped his team reach the Serbian league playoffs where they were eliminated by the reigning champs Red Star Belgrade. During the summer Jonah signed with Red Star Belgrade and also declared for the 2017 draft where he was selected by the 76ers
as the 36th pick.Early in July Bolden joined the 76ers in the Las Vegas summer league averaging 8.7P and 6.2R in eight games. He represented the Australian NT in the summer of 2013 at the U19 MundoBasket.
