Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv hoped to continue their momentum against Gilboa Galil at home, and got the early lead, However Galil stayed close and ended up winning the game. On Friday: Milan at the Mediolanum Forum.

Coach Neven Spahija:” First I want to give credit to Galil, they played amazing basketball and they came with the right ideas of what to do, they had a lot of match ups forcing us to turn-over the ball 23 times. I think we are one of the best teams in the EuroLeague with handling the ball, it’s about the focus and right now we don’t have the focus and the right energy in the Israeli championship.

It’s not the first time, it’s the third time that it happens and it’s kind of a sickness, the only good thing coming out of this is that there is a long way to go and we will try to find a way to get out of such situations. We can lose a game in the domestic league but getting more than 90 points is something to be ashamed off and I really feel sorry for our fans and franchise who are doing a great job this year supporting us”.

John DiBartolomeo: “From the beginning they came out aggressive and they dictated a lot throughout the game, it’s been a weakness getting big wins and then coming out in front of our own crowd not bringing the same energy that we need and should especially in front of our fans, we will have to learn from this and move on”.

John-Di addressed the upcoming game against Milan: “We need to focus on what we did well and to watch the film and comeback and fix it. We have a couple of days to prepare for Milan which is another important game”.
