Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv players, coaching staff and club employees arrived this morning to Safra children hospital at Tel Hashomer for a visit packed with smiles and presents for the holiday of Purim
Members of the Mayanot Village One Team have also joined the team, earlier this week they have participated in wrapping all the presents that were given to the kids today. Around 200 gift baskets including scarves and posters from the club’s official store, shirts (FOX), pizza vouchers (Domino’s Pizza), Cafe Greg (Hamantash) and Marcello Incellini (Masks) were given to the hospitalized children including Palestinian kids from the Gaza strip who were happy to take photos with the players.

“You see all the sick kids, I’m very proud that the entire team and management are coming to give support and hope. I think we did a great job today and we are wishing for the kids to get back home as soon as possible” said coach Spahija who also added: “I’m happy with our preparations for CSKA but we’ll have plenty of time to talk about it”.

“It’s very important. We are the fortunate ones for being able to come here and bring some light and joy especially during the holidays”, said the team captain John DiBartolomeo. “Every game is important, but right now our focus is on the kids and enjoying the time we get to spend together”.

“Visiting the kids is very important to us, the ability to give back and support them while they are going through rough times. This is a good day for us”. Said DeAndre Kane as he also addressed the upcoming challenges in the EuroLeague: “in the game against Malaga we did some positive things and steps in the right direction as well. Malaga is a tough team at home and I think we’ll be fine as we stay together, we tried and gave a 100% but the little things hurt us and now we are looking forward towards the game against CSKA”.

“We’re feeling good and we’re getting ready for CSKA” Kane added. “Everyone knows they are one of the best teams in Europe. It’ll be complicated but I think we are capable of doing it”.
