The yellows wanted to get back into their winning ways against Hapoel Jerusalem in the 26th fixture of the Israeli league. Jerusalem got the early lead, but Roll and Cole made sure the hosts will impose their will in the first half, Jerusalem opened the second half with a comeback attempt but Tyus and John-Di made sure the hosts will enter the fourth quarter with a double digit lead, Jerusalem made another comeback and won the game after a three pointer by Perperoglou.

“We didn’t have enough energies, Jerusalem had more energies and they made the last shot and won the game”, said coach Neven Spahija. “Our lack of energies in the last quarter cost us the game against Galil, today we gave up 29 points in the last quarter, also both of our guards who came back today (John and Pierre) got hurt again and it hurt us and our rotation. Like I said they won in the last shot they played good basketball and we played good basketball for most parts but we need to play for 40 minutes because if we’re going to continue and work like this and show the same attitude I’m sure that we’re going to get to the point that we will be the same team like we were before. I’m angry but not at the players but on the fact that we lost the game. I’m sad for our franchise and for our fans because they really deserve us to be better. I’m telling everybody that we’re all working very hard, but sometimes it doesn’t work”.

“A tough game for us, we played pretty well for the majority of the game”, said John-DiBartolomeo. “Down the stretch Jerusalem made more plays than us and were able to get the win. To stay in the game you have to be focused on every possession and we struggled with this throughout the season, we have very good players on our team, whenever someone has to sit out there’s always someone to step up, that’s the beauty of having such a deep roster that wasn’t the reason for the loss, they had a lot of momentum and they continued to make plays and we took a step back”.
