Angelo Caloiaro was the last one to arrive in a rather busy day at the Ben Gurion International airport where no less than five Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv players arrived to Israel. The first one to arrive was Scottie Wilbekin who was followed by Alex Tyus, John-DiBartolomeo and Kendrick Ray. The forward was very excited as he received a very loud and happy welcome by the fans in yellow who came.

“To play basketball and win, that’s always my goal, and also to have fun”, said Angelo Caloiaro. “We have a good team and that’s always a good thing. I’m excited to go on court join the guys and play for Maccabi”.

When asked why Maccabi chose him the forward replied: “I think I have a high basketball IQ, I play hard and shoot the ball pretty well for two points, I’ve played against EuroLeague teams in Spain and Turkey, and I’ve been consistent in these levels in recent years”.

“I’ll play in whatever position I’m needed, so I’m only looking forward to play”, Caloiaro added. “I want to thank the fans who came here to welcome me and I’m excited for the new season. Tarik Black is a great player and I can’t wait for the season to start”.
