Coach Spahija after the 87:84 win over Khimki at the OPAP Tournament: “I told the players, think about the next opponent and work hard”
“It’s just the first preseason game”, said Coach Neven Spahija who saw his team coming back from a 17 point deficit at half time. “After the terrible first half, second quarter I would say, we played good basketball especially defense, we changed some stuff, playing with this roster I think we can be satisfied but like I said to the players in the locker room, we have to think that it’s just one preseason game, humble victory think about the next opponent and work hard”.
Angelo Caloiaro, who finished the game with 8P,4R and 4S, added: “I thought we played hard, it’s obviously preseason and our main focus is to just get better, play hard and trying to execute what we’ve been putting in practice and continue to grow and be ready to when the season start, I think we did a great first step”.
“It’s a great feeling to play with the new guys”, said Deni Avdija. “I think we played together and we had some tough moments in the game. We managed to focus and we gave it all in the final minutes and won the game”.
