Maccabi completed their comeback in the fourth but Khimki took back the lead with just over a minute remaining in the game however Black found Zoosman for a huge clutch three to get Maccabi over the hump as Maccabi takes the 86:82 win over Khimki.

“We had so much difficulties before the game but we never take that as an excuse”, said coach Neven Spahija after the 82:86 win over Khimki. “All of the players showed up and we won the game; some parts of the game we were down by 10 but we never gave up”.

When asked what he takes from this tournament Coach Spahija replied: “So many things to learn, we did already so many good things, but I think that the biggest problem right now is that we didn’t play together and I hope it’s going to happen soon and that with everyday we’ll get better and better”.

“Proud to get this win with Maccabi and proud to be a part of this organization”, said Tarik Black, who made his presence felt with back to back double double performances for the squad in yellow and blue. “That was a great game right there, played as hard as we could and we plan on building on that moving forward and just be excited for what’s coming this season”.

When asked about what are the positive things he takes from this tournament Tarik replied: “We’re persevering that’s what I see, we have guys missing, we don’t have as many bodies, some play exponential minutes more than usual and we still came together we still were able to get a win against a great Khimki team; our respect to them but we’re going to keep on moving and keep on progressing and building upon our perseverance and our ability and just step on the floor with whatever five we have out there play as hard as we can move the ball around and be a team and a unit to get wins”.
