Wanting to get back into winning ways Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv faced Hapoel Holon on the road. The hosts managed to impose their will on both ends of the court in the second quarter as they outscored the visitors 35:16 taking the 51:43 lead at halftime. The squad in yellow and blue tried to get back into the game and even managed to take the edge deep in the fourth quarter but Holon reacted to secure the 100:95 home win. The Israeli reigning champs will now focus on their next game against Olympiacos on Thursday.

“The game had two momentums, we lost our focus in the second quarter and allowed Holon to score easy layups”, said coach Sfairopoulos. “They scored easy 10 points on fastbreaks and took control over the game. We came back in the second half and brought the game to a situation that we were leading, and then they scored two difficult threes and that ended the game, and we didn’t make such shots, they took some important rebounds, we need to learn from this and to be more focused during the second period and to play smarter in the last period”.

“We got to be better”, said Jeremy Pargo. “We had every opportunity to win the game, gotta give credit to those guys making tough shots late in big moments. I have to be better personally especially in the second half. We just got to come out and practice and prepare of our next game and continue doing our best to get better”.
