Coach Giannis Sfairopoulos after the 98:92 away loss to Hapoel Jerusalem: “We have to be more consistent, to know how to win such games in the future”

Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv lost to Hapoel Jerusalem at the Pais arena, in the 25th round of the Israeli Winner league. The yellows are currently ranked second in the standings but they can recapture the top seed as soon as this Thursday where they will host Hapoel Eilat, at the Menora Mivtachim arena.
“Our defense was not good today”, coach Giannis Sfairopoulos admitted. “In a game like this, it was obvious that the team that will make the better decisions will win. We have to be more consistent, to know how to win such games in the future. I need to talk to my players, so that we will get better at it”.
“When we got back and tied the game, we had the momentum in our hands”, coach Giannis added. “In this period in overtime we allowed them too many layups from offensive rebounds. It hurt us a lot and in the end Hapoel won”.
