Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv played versus Hapoel Eilat in the 26th round of the Israeli domestic league, wanting to get back to winning ways. The squad of coach Sfairopoulos were more focused in the first quarter, but they only managed to take the double digit lead with Johnny and Scottie leading the way. The visitors tried to get back into the game but the Maccabi took care of business as they secured the 99:92 home win domestic standings. The squad of coach Sfairopoulos will now begin their preparations for their next Israeli league game on Sunday at Be’er Sheva.

“It was a good game”, said coach Giannis Sfairopoulos. “After two loses in the league, we wanted to win this game. I believe that in the first half it was a very open game, we played good on offense. In the last five minutes of the first half we played good defense, but – we didn’t start the second half good. In general we controlled the game and we played versus a very good team. We fought to keep our advantage; I’m happy with the result, but we need to improve our game. It’s a good psychologically and we will continue to prepare for the third round, to finish it in a good way”.
