Nikola Vujcic, Giannis Sfairopoulos, Othello Hunter and Angelo Cloiaro joined their friends and underwent tests to find COVID19, which were initiated by Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club as part of preparations to resume basketball activity. Also John Dibartolomeo, Jake Cohen, Omri Casspi, Yovel Zoosman, Deni Avdija, Dori Sahar, Yonatan Atias and Amit Aharoni were tested, as well as all other members of the team staff.

Regardless of the COVID19 tests, the team’s medical staff delivered good news. Captain John Dibartolomeo, who suffered a ruptured muscle and underwent surgery followed by a long period of rehabilitation, recieved the medical thumbs up and returned to training. This is great news for the Guard, who has been working hard for months to be ready for a call back to the pitch.

At the same time, the Menora Mivtachim arena staff began to conduct an extensive disinfection of the facility. The staff sprayed of all the arena gates, doors, handles, toilets, gym, locker rooms, handrails and so on. In addition, a thorough cleaning of the complex where team staff and players work, as well as disinfecting the benches used by the players, coaches and operating staff in the ring area, was conducted.
