Roman Sorkin continues for another season in the ranks of Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv. The young forward-center, who had an impressive personal debut season in the yellow uniform, will be integrated into the emerging front line of coach Oded Kattash, who already includes the American forward-center Alex Poythress, center Josh Nebo and forward Jarell Martin.
Sorkin arrived at Maccabi last summer from Maccabi Haifa and immediately signaled that he was adapting quickly to the level. During the regular season in the local league he averaged 9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game, while in the playoffs the numbers grew to 9.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and an average block per game.

The Israeli forward (25) took part in 22 regular season games in the Euroleague and made some good appearances: 9 points and 6 rebounds against Panathinaikos, 10 and 8 rebounds against Olympiacos and also 13 points in the victory in Barcelona. In the first game of the quarterfinals series in Madrid, he contributed 12 points, 5 rebounds and two blocks in 20:46 minutes on the floor.
