Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv’s captain, fresh off his sixth championship with the team, signed a new two-year contract: “Maccabi and Isarel are my home”

John-D joined the yellows from Maccabi Haifa after winning the Israeli league MVP honor in 2017. During his first season in Tel Aviv, he was appointed as team captain. A year later, he lead the league in plus-minus and FT shooting percentage, and was named as the MVP of the Final Four.
He remained a key factor for the team throughout his time in Tel Aviv, leading the EuroLeague in FT accuracy two seasons ago and ranking fourth in plus-minus last season. He posted 9.3 PPG in the Israeli league in the last campagin, shooting 47.9% from three and grabbing 1.2 steals per game.
