Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv has signed Jimmy Clark III for the next three years. The talented guard (1.91m, 25), who made a significant leap forward this season, brings an athletic dimension to the backcourt, along with elite defense, a versatile offensive repertoire, perimeter shooting, playmaking, changes of pace, and the ability to take charge in crunch time.
“We are very happy and proud to continue with Jimmy on a new long-term contract”, coach Oded Kattash said after the signing. “It feels natural and right for both sides. Jimmy has become one of our anchors, and we are very pleased with the immense progress he has made and continues to make. Continuity is important to us, and I welcome this”.

The Numbers Don’t Lie
Over the past two seasons, Jimmy Clark was a key part of Maccabi’s State Cup titles. In the EuroLeague, he averaged 9.5 points, 4.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. Notably, over the 17 rounds since January, his production spiked to an average of 14 points per game (including 19 double-figure outings).
This season, Clark leads the Israeli Premier League in plus-minus (+281) and assist-to-turnover ratio (5). He ranks fifth in assists (5.6), third in assists per minute (0.25), while also recording 1.3 steals per night and scoring 11.2 points on a blistering 42.9% from beyond the arc.
A Look Back
Jimmy Clark – Born in Covington, Georgia on April 4th 2001 – joined Maccabi in February 2025 from Bnei Herzliya after an impressive stint in the domestic league. A Duquesne University alum, Herzliya was his first stop in his professional career—a path similar to the one taken by former Maccabi center Sean James.
In his final collegiate season, Clark led Duquesne to a historic run, as the Dukes won the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship for the first time since 1977 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The guard averaged 15 points, 3.8 assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.3 steals.
Clark is considered an elite perimeter defender, having been named twice to the Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Team as well as the All-Conference Second Team. In both of his seasons at Duquesne, he led the conference in steals—a skill he has translated seamlessly to the Israeli league.
Prior to joining Maccabi, Clark averaged 14.5 points (56.7% from 2-point range), 5.8 assists (4th in the league), and 2 steals (2nd in the league) for Herzliya. In a head-to-head matchup against Maccabi, he caught fire with 19 points (5-of-6 from deep), 9 assists, and 7 rebounds.
