“Shane Hunter completes a deep and versatile frontcourt for us, having gained valuable European experience this past season”, head coach Oded Kattash explained to the official website.
“He is a big man with great off-ball movement, high two-point shooting percentages, a strong rebounder, highly mobile in the pick-and-roll, and a shot-blocker who impacts opponents’ shots”.

This past season, Hunter played for Legia Warsaw, making a strong impact in both the Polish League (averaging 9.2 points on 63% two-point shooting, 5 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game) and his debut season in the FIBA Basketball Champions League (8.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1 block, and a 12 efficiency rating per game).
Shane Hunter was born on June 27, 2001, grew up in New York, and played college basketball at Nova Southeastern University. Two years ago, he signed his first professional contract with the Norrk?ping Dolphins, champions of the Swedish League, serving as one of the key figures in leading the club to its fifth consecutive domestic title.
In 30 regular-season games during his first season in Europe (2024/25), he averaged 14.3 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, and 1.2 steals across 26.4 minutes per game. In the Basketball Champions League qualifiers and FIBA Europe Cup, he recorded 13.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. In the finals series, he averaged 16.4 points per game.
