“Only” a ten points win (93-83) vs Bnei Hasharon but another game dominated by Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv. In spite of the absence of of Deon Thomas (ill) and Nestoras Kommatos (the one foreigner left out), coach Pini Gershon allowed his leading players long rests and no one played more than 25 minutes.
After a 25-11 lead midway the first quarter, the visitors reduced the margin to 28-20 at the end of the period. At the half the lead was 53-42 and at the start of the third only 53-48. Then came a 13-0 run by the champions to make it 66-48. At the end of the third 76-64 and finally 93-83.
MVP for the night was Nikola Vujcic with 11 pts. 10 rbds & 8 assists.
