Scottie Wilbekin wasn’t registered to the contest as Elijah Bryant, Quincy Acy, Othello Hunter, Tyler Dorsey, Nate Wolters will be the foreigners available for coach Sfairopoulos. Joining them are Deni Avdija, Jake Cohen, Yovel Zoosman, and the youngsters Dori Sahar and Yonatan Atias, who’ll compete against Stefanos Dedas’s unit that carries a 3 game winning streak coming into the game.

Jalen Reynolds, Angelo Caloiaro, Sandy Cohen, and Aaron Jackson aren’t registered to the domestic league and will sit out joining Omri Casspi, Tarik Black, and John DiBartolomeo, who are recovering from injuries.

On the host’s end, Richard Howell and Joe Alexander will miss the matchup against the Yellow & Blue. Holon’s squad contains familiar faces who wore the Maccabi jersey in the past, Guy Pnini, Yogev Ohayon, and the youngster Shir Moraidi. After the first 13 games in the Israeli league, the purples are unbeaten at home, winning all 6 of their games at Toto Holon Arena as the Israeli champions come in with an 8:0 road record.

In the past meeting between the clubs this season, the Yellow & Blue beat Holon 94:76 in Menorah Mivtachim Arena. Scottie Wilbekin was unstoppable, scoring 30 points in 21 minutes on the court. However, in the last meeting in Holon’s arena, the hosts came back from a 14 point deficit to earn a 100:95 victory over Maccabi.

“We will try to make our fans proud, we have a lot of respect for Maccabi, but we don’t fear her”, Said Holon’s coach Stefanos Dedas towards the game. “Personally, it’s a big honor to play against Giannis (Sfairopoulos), a person who made me become a professional coach at the age of 19, and for that, I owe him a ton”.
