On Sunday: Maccabi hosts Holon in Winner's League round 3 opener
The Yellows will face Guy Goodes's team, hoping to get their ninth consecutive win on the domestic front
Maccabi arrives at the game as the league leader with a 19-13 record, superior to Holon’s 14-8. A yellow victory would not just be significant in the battle Oded Kattash’s team has with Hapoel Tel Aviv on first place ahead of the playoffs but also send Maccabi recovered and energized ahead of a tough week which includes a blockbuster clash with Real Madrid and a home city Derby.
Maccabi’s roster for the Holon game will include John DiBartolomeo, Lorenzo Brown, Wade Baldwin, Jarell Martin, Rafi Menco, Roman Sorkin, Guy Pnini, Jake Cohen, Tomer Agmon, Josh Nebo, Yiftach Ziv, and Bonzie Colson.
Maccabi battles past Holon four days before facing Real Madrid
The Yellows recorded their nine consecutive league win, 96:88, thanks to 17 from Jarell Martin. On Thursday: Maccabi hosts the Blancos in the Euroleague
It was Maccabi’s fourth victory this season over Guy Goodes’s team, but the hosts needed to dig deep to seal it. The difference maker was Maccabi’s shooting percentage from behind the arc. The Yellows scored 19 three-pointers in total, five of which were made by Jarell Martin. The forward scored all of his 17 points in the second half, leading Maccabi’s scorers’ list along with John DiBartolomeo.
On Thursday, Maccabi will host Real Madrid at Menora Mivtachim Arena in a game that will wrap up the regular season in the Euroleague. The Yellows secured their place in the playoffs but will learn the identity of their opponent in a best-of-five series only after the clash with the Blancos.
