Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv kicked off the second round of the EuroLeague in particularly impressive fashion, achieving their biggest win of the season. Oded Kattash’s yellows defeated ?algiris Kaunas 95-78 in Belgrade, delivering a fantastic team performance and enjoying a promising debut for new center Trevion Williams.

After taking advantage of a rare few days off between games, the Israeli champions brought defensive toughness, offensive determination, and a lot of positive energy right from the start. Maccabi jumped to a double-digit lead in the first quarter and led by as many as 23 points after the break.

Jaylen Hoard shone with 23 points, alongside Rokas Jokubaitis and Roman Sorkin, who each scored 18 points. After just two practices with his new teammates, Williams contributed 12 points and 4 assists—one of five yellow-clad players to record at least that many assists in the game. And all of this came against a Lithuanian opponent regarded as the strongest defensive team in the EuroLeague.

The team will look to carry this momentum into their away game against Kiryat Ata on Monday in the domestic league.
