It was a game of two very different halves, but in the end, Maccabi Playtika Tel-Aviv achieved its goal and secured a ticket to the Israeli state cup semifinal, where the Yellows will meet Hapoel Tel-Aviv in a city derby.

The way there, as mentioned, was bumpy. Maccabi trailed by 11 points in halftime at Kfar-Blum, but a fantastic comeback was too much for Hapoel Galil Elyon that couldn’t handle the visitors’ attacking firepower and strong defense. Scottie Wilbekin led the scorers with 16 points in a game that finished with yellow smiles and an 88:77 result.

Maccabi will now start preparing for the clash with CSKA Moscow on Thursday.
