Another yellow heartache. Maccabi Playtika Tel-Aviv finished the first round in the Euroleague with a painful loss, 71:73 to Zenit Saint Petersburg away, and dropped to a 7-10 record.

The Israeli champs got off to a terrible start and found themselves trailing by 17 points in the first quarter. The comeback started during the third quarter, and an excellent team effort rewarded the visitors with a lead 17 seconds before the last buzzer.

At that point, The Russians made a crucial three-pointer which gave them back the lead. Maccabi had the last possession of the game, but Scottie Wilbekin couldn’t force overtime, unfortunately.

On Wednesday, the yellows, who now hold a negative streak of Seven straight losses, will try to bounce back against Monaco.
