Gur Shelef, Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv captain for the last three seasons, will play in the next two seasons in the Belgian League with Antwerpen, coached by Israeli Arik Shivek.
The 31 years old Shelef, joined Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv at the start of the 1998/99 season. Since then he won seven Premier League titles, seven national cups as well as three Euroleague titles (twice as captain). He also played in one EL Final and one semi final. With Maccabi he played 126 games in European competitions scoring 649 pts.
Shelef also played in the final of the Adriatic League and was a member of the Euroleague Allstar Team in the Real Madrid Centenary game.
Since 1995 he is a member of the National Team having played in 89 games, scoring 706 points.
