Eight days before the Final Four in Moscow, Maccabbi Elite Tel Aviv and Efes Pilsen played an 86-86 practice game in Istanbul.
It was a very good test for Pini Gershon’s team who led 24-16 at the end of the first quarter & 48-43 at half time. Anthony Parker, who left the court with an injury, returned in the third period dominated by the hosts and after a 9-0 run they took a 69-66 lead. They kept the lead until 84-81 when Saras connected with a three pointer. Efes Pilsen led 86-85 when Parker was sent to the line. He made one free throw and the coaches decided to call ut a day.
