Seventy two hours before the first game vs Scavolini Pesaro in the Euroleague quarter final, Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv took a 1-0 lead in the Premier League quarter finals playoffs by beating Maccabi SK Rishon Letsion 97-74.
Maccabi left out Saras and coach Greshon gave Nestoras Kommatos 27 minutes on court. Gur Shelef played 18 minutes and got the highest index rating. Yotam Halperin & Yaniv Green played in the final minutes.
The first quarter was even (23-21 for Maccabi). At half time Maccabi led 44-31 and increased it to 69-46 at the end of the third period.
A minute of silence was observed before the game in memory of the late Team Doctor, Teddy Finkelstein.
