Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv finished the Euroleague regular season in second place in their group, but head coach David Blatt knows improvement is needed to make it through the Top 16: “The most important thing is to be consistent as a team.”

After the victory over Belgacom Spirou, Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv’s head coach David Blatt addressed the end of the regular season: “I’m satisfied that our team has reached the next level in the way that they did, second place in our group with a 7 – 3 record including some very nice results. I’m less satisfied with tonight’s game, if you want to know the truth. We could have played a lot better, and we’ll need to play a lot better in the Top 16 if we want to advance to the next level.”
“I think we handled the first half of the season very well,” the coach continued. “We did a good job handling the uncertainties involved with the signing and eventual departure of Jordan, and the whole story of Jeremy Pargo, who I’m happy to see has fit in very well in the NBA as I expected he would. So far we have found the way to succeed and to win, but in the future we’ll need to be more stable. Obviously we’re going to have more good moments, and many more difficult moments, but the most important thing is to be consistent as a team.”
