The League Administration held a press conference for the 8 playoffs teams that have advanced to the quarterfinals, which begin this coming weekend. Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv’s head coach David Blatt said, “The playoffs are going to be very interesting. This has been a great season with a lot of competitiveness and interesting games. I’ve already expressed my opinion about the system. The teams are evenly-matched and the fans want to get what they deserve [more playoff games].”
Team captain Guy Pnini added. “We’ve come down from Mt. Olympus [following the thrill of qualifying for the Euroleague Final Four]. The Israeli League is our bread and butter. We have a series coming up against a team that has had a good year, and we had a hard time against them this season. We want to keep up this positive momentum we’ve got going, and we will be ready for this series.”
