The Israel National Team finisged last in the International Tournament in Strasbourg after a 71-78 loss to Italy. Previously Israel succumbed 69-94 to France & 79-88 to Lithuania. Italy finished in first place ahead of Lithuania, France & Israel. All four teams will take part in the European Championship that will start on September 5, 2003 in Sweden., Tal Burstein was the top Israeli player in the tournament with 51 points. Yotam Halperin was the revelation in his first appearence in the senior team. He played 35 minutes vs Italy and scored 17 points out of his total of 26 for the tournament.
