David Blatt, the head coach of Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv, the vice champion of the Euroleague, was named Lotto League Coach of the Year for the 2010 – 2011 season by a unanimous vote.

Even before taking the court in the championship final of the Lotto League Thursday night, Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv won yet another title. The team’s head coach David Blatt, who guided the team through a dream season that culminated in a 29 – 1 record, was named Lotto League Coach of the Year for the 2010 – 2011 season by a unanimous vote.
This marks the third time Blatt has won the title. He was first named Coach of the Year at the end of the 1995 – 1996 season, when he served as head coach of Hapoel Galil Elyon. He was honored again in 2002, when he was with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
