The international governing body for basketball, FIBA, has determined that Yogev Ohayon is a free agent, and that his contract with Russian Eurocup Champions Lokomotiv Kuban is invalid.

FIBA announced its ruling regarding Ohayon last Friday (16 August):
The salient points are as follows:
1. FIBA has determined that the agreement between Yogev Ohayon and Lokomotiv Kuban is invalid.
2. FIBA has determined that Ohayon may continue to play for Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv this coming season because he is not obligated to Kuban.
