Wilbekin (28 points) and Williams (26) lead the Yellows to an 82:77 victory in the derby and a place in the semis. The next opponent: Herzeliya
After a tough loss in game three at home, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv got its sweet revenge over Hapoel Tel-Aviv. The Yellows already trailed by 16 points in game four at the Reds’ home court but rallied to a precious 82:77 win, which also gave them a 3:1 win in the series and a ticket to the semis.
It was a team effort that pushed Maccabi to victory, but above all were Scottie Wilbekin (28 points) and Derrick Williams (26 points), who put on a show, especially in clutch possessions. Roman Sorkin added 10 and 12 rebounds, 7 of them on offense.
Maccabi’s next opponent will be Bney Herzeliya. Game 1 will be played on Thursday at Menora-Mivtachim Arena.
