Maccabi Tel Aviv once against lost outside of NOKIA arena, this time 82-87 at Zagreb. Maccabi trailed by one point after the first quarter (20-19) but Cibona punished Maccabi’s soft defense and ran away, 69-51 to cibona after 3 quarters. Yaniv Green and Derick Sharp came off the bench and led a nice rally in favor of Maccabi, but it was too little too late – 87-82 at the final buzzer to Cibona. Maccabi’s scorers: Eliyahu 15, Sharp 15, Arnold 13, Vujcic 12, Jasaitis 12, Green 8, Bynum 4, Halperin 2, Shason 1. Cibona was led by wright (22 points) and warren (16).
