Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv did well in its first test on the domestic front. The Yellows defeated Hapoel Gilboa/Galil 85:75 in the quarterfinals of Winner’s Cup and will face Hapoel Holon on Thursday, for a place in the final.
A late run by Oded Kattash’s players in the last quarter secured them the victory even though Maccabi was missing Lorenzo Brown, Austin Hollins, and Josh Nebo. Bonzie Colson led four scorers in double figures with 16 points, Wade Baldwin added 15 points and five assists.
