Maccabi Playtika Tel-Aviv completed its “French week” on a high note. After the historical comeback win against Monaco, the Yellows downed Villeurbanne 88:69, remained undefeated at home this season, and improved their Euroleague record to 3:1.
Oded Kattash’s players started slow again and trailed by 13 points, but came back fast and took the lead by the end of the first half. Lorenzo Brown stood out with 17 points and 6 assists, and Bonzie Colson added 13 and 6 rebounds.
The focus now shifts to Sunday. Maccabi will face Hapoel Tel Aviv in Winner’s cup final, hoping to clinch the first title of 2022/23.
