Maccabi Tel Aviv lost 80-84 at Nahariya in the state cup quarter finals,but advanced thanks to its win at Nokia arena by 14 points
Maccabi Tel Aviv lost to Ironi Nahariya 84-80 in the second leg of the State Cup quarterfinal, but it advanced to the State Cup Final Four since it won the first leg 86-72. Noel Felix had a great second quarter, dominated the boards and scored 13 first-half points to help Tel Aviv to a comfortable 48-36 lead at half time. Maccabi led in as many as 18 points, but Nahariya started to cut the lead. Juan Mendez scored five straight points to give Nahariya an 80-71 advantage, but Maccabi held on to lose only 80-84. Nikola Vujcic and Lior Eliyahu led Maccabi with 16 points each, Juan Mendez score 25 to Nahariya. Other teams advanced to the semi finals: Hapoel Jerusalem, Bnei Hasharon, Ironi Ramar Gan.
