After playing two Euroleague games in 48 hours, the yellows will travel north to meet their opponents in last season’s finals series (Sunday at 21:00 pm local, 2 pm ET)
Maccabi’s squad for the game will not include Scottie Wilbekin and Derrick Williams (who will rest), Ante Zizic (injured), and Mathias Lessort (not eligible for league games).
The full roster will then include John DiBartolomeo, Keenan Evans, Ido Menchel, Angelo Caloiaro, Kameron Taylor, Jalen Reynolds, Roman Sorkin, Oded Brandwein, Oz Blayzer, Jake Cohen, James Nunnally, and Yiftach Ziv.
Gilboa/Galil changed its face drastically during the summer and lost a lot of key players who led the team to the finals series last season. In addition, coach Avishai Gordon was replaced by his assistant Guy Kaplan.
After Sunday’s game, Maccabi will start a series of five consecutive home games in the arena: three in the Euroleague and two in the domestic league.
