Another dominant performance propelled Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv to a 2-0 lead over Ness Ziona in the Israeli league quarter finals series on Friday. The reigning champions defeated their rivals 99-66 on the road to move one win away from a spot in the semi finals.
It was the second thrashing in as many games in the series, with Lorenzo Brown orchestrating matters. The star guard had a double-double with 11 points and 10 assists in under 20 minutes, and earned MVP honors.
Brown was one of five players to score in double figures, with Roman Sorkin leading the charge with 17 points. Oded Kattash saw his men enjoy a 12-of-23 from deep range and securing 53 rebounds.
Game 3 is Sunday in Tel Aviv.
