Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv broke a four-game losing streak and achieved their first away win of the season in the EuroLeague, defeating Alba Berlin 103-85 in the German capital. Oded Kattash’s team started hot with a18-2 run and never looked back, led by a career-high performance from Rokas Jokubaitis with 24 points.
The yellow-and-blue team took full advantage of a favorable match-up with a fantastic offensive display. Besides Jokubaitis, David DeJulius (14 points) and Will Rayman (12 points) also set personal EuroLeague records, while Jalen Hoard added 18 points.
Additionally, Jasiel Rivero made his return to the court after a three-week absence, and John DiBartolomeo, besides his usual energy, set a new EuroLeague record with his 70th consecutive free throw made. Maccabi is now 4-8 in the European stage.
On Saturday evening, Maccabi will host Ramat Gan at Menora Mivtachim Arena before embarking on a double EuroLeague week in Belgrade.
