The two league leaders and long-time rivals will meet at Heichal Shlomo in a battle for first place. Lorenzo Brown, who got injured on Thursday, will not play
On Sunday (9 pm Israel time, 2 pm EST), at Heichal Shlomo, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv will record their 128th league meeting and do so as the two league leaders playing each other for the third time since the season started.
Maccabi, who holds an 11:2 record, beat Hapoel (10:2) twice – 88:84 in Winner’s cup final and 95:90 in their last meeting in Winner’s league. This time the hurdle will be tougher to get over as the game will be held in the Reds’ arena, where they have yet to lose a league game this season.
Maccabi will arrive at the derby without Lorenzo Browm, who injured his ankle in the win over Alba Berlin and will be absent in the near future. On the brighter side, Jalen Adams recovered from an illness that prevented him from playing against Alba and will be on the roster on the expanse of Darrun Hilliard.
Maccabi’s roster will include Jalen Adams, Wade Baldwin, Jarrell Martin, Rafi Menko, Roman Sorkin, Guy Pnini, John DiBartolomeo, Jake Cohen, Tomer Agmon, Josh Nebo, Yiftach Ziv, and Bonzie Colson.
