Two historical European clubs will visit Menora Mivtachim Arena this week. The first of them, Olimpia Milano, will clash with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv tomorrow (Tuesday, 21:00 local, 3pm ET) in a crucial game in the Yellows’ quest for a playoffs spot.
“We are facing a huge challenge, and we are looking forward to it,” said Avi Even ahead of the game. “It will be a very tough battle, but we are playing at home, and we have proven we can beat any team in our gym. One thing I’m sure of is that the atmosphere in the arena will be electric.”
“We are coming off a really good game, so we are totally focused on ourselves,” added Keenan Evans. “We must dictate the pace, be aggressive and control the rebounds. Regardless of the situation with the Russian teams, we always believed we could be a playoff team, and we’ll keep fighting for this goal, no matter what happens around us”.
