Ironi Ramat Gan new before the game that their relegation to the National League is inevitable. But they still hoped to do it in style with a win over the Super League champions. And when they won the first quarter 25-19 it looked possible. Maccabi leveled (30-30) and at half time held a slight lead of 43-38. But the illusion ended here. Maccabi won the third period 28-19 and opened a 71-57 lead. The final period was garbage time with the final score 96-72. Although facing one of the weakest team in the League, Maccabi still had problems in the rebounds (34-32) and made 10 turnovers. On the other hand they had a great shooting night: 72% for twi, 42% for three & 83% in FT. Kirk Penney replaced Anthony Parker, played 30 minutes & scored 10 pts.
