After the huge victory over Barcelona, the Yellows fell 82:85 to their top group rival. Evans led Maccabi with 14 points
Every party has to end at some point. Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv’s winning streak, which stood at nine victories, stopped today after falling to Hapoel Holon 82:85 away. The Israeli champs fought hard against a strong opponent but couldn’t catch the hosts.
Avi Even’s team struggled with fatigue caused by the super tight schedule and suffered from a weak shooting evening by Scottie Wilbekin and James Nunnally. Keenan Evans led Maccabi with 14 points that unfortunately didn’t help to get the win.
The Yellows will now rest and hope to start a new winning streak when they host Fenerbahce in the closing game of the Euroleague’s regular season, on Wednesday.
