Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv’s guard Ricky Hickman landed in Israel together with the rest of the Georgian National Team.

Ricky Hickman arrived in Israel, but not in order to wear the yellow and blue (yet). The American guard is part of the Georgian National Team, and is here with them as part of the European Championship competition. “They were looking for someone who plays my position, and things just kind of went from there. It’s a special feeling, representing a country, and I’m doing the best I can. The fact that Giorgi (Shermadini) is here really helped me to fit in, because we know each other from Maccabi.”
“It will be fun to play against my teammates – Guy (Pnini), Yogev (Ohayon) and Lior (Eliyahu). I’m sure they will also enjoy playing against me. It’s always fun to come back here. Basically, just like the Israeli National Team, we want to improve and be ready for the championship, where everyone’s goal will be to make it to the second round. I expect these two games to be good ones, and difficult ones, too.”
