Kevin Magee killed in a road accident

Kevin Magee, one of Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv best ever players, was killed today in a road accident in Louisisna. He was 44 and left a wife, Melanie, and three children.
Magee (2.03 F/C) was born un Garry, Indiana, and made his name in Cal Irvine University where he had averages of 26.3 pts & 12.3 rbds. Was No 39 pick by Phoenix Suns in the 1982 NBA Draft but opted to play in Europe. Played one season in Varese, Italy, and one in Zaragoza vest of Maccsabi and was consudered one of the top players in the European Cup. In 90 games he scored 2,o81 pts and is still leading Maccabi’s averages with 23.1 pts. Played with Maccabi in three EC Finals (87, 88,89) and won 6 Israeli League championships & 5 national cups. In six seasons scored 4,138 points in the league.
In summer 1990 he moved back to Zaragoza and then played for Racing Paris & Torino. Returned to Israel in 1993 and played for Maccabi Rishon Letsion in his final season as a player.
Maccabi’s president Shimon Mizrahi said today: “We will find a suitable way to remember Kevin, one of the best players ever to play for our club”.
