Maccabi Tel Aviv will meet tonight (21:45, live on channel 1) Lottomatica Roma for the third time this season. Maccabi won at Nokia arena but lost in overtime at Italy. The yellows will try to win its first game in the top-16 stage. Dejan Bodiroga is fit. Assistant coach Guy Goodes: after we lost at home to Tau its obvious we need to win tonight. We have practiced well, now we have to show it on court. Nikola Vujcic: we lost last time at Rome because of some stupid mistakes, it wont happen to us again. Neven Spahija: I think we are coming to this game in good shape, and that we have a chance to win after a long time in which we didn’t win a Euroleague game on the road. We passed a very difficult period with our losses in the national cup and to Tau, but we are still strong. Jasmin Repesa: With Bodiroga we are a much stronger team. Maccabi is a team that we know well, having played against them in the regular season group stages. It’s true that we beat them earlier this season in the Euroleague but that by no means gives us any guarantees for Thursday’s game.
