Maccabi finds scoring power with Jackson

Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv signed a dynamic scorer in point guard Pierre Jackson, who spent the previous season divided between Cedevita Zagreb, Dallas in the NBA and Texas in the D-League

Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv is happy to announce the addition of Pierre Jackson who signed a 1+1 deal with the club. Jackson (1.80, 26) is an explosive PG who reads the court extremely well and can score in various ways. 

Maccabi’s head coach Neven Spahija said: ” Jackson an exciting player and an incredible scorer, he is a very competitive player who knows how to make his teammates better, he has a great personality and I’m sure our fans will fall for him.  
 
Jackson grew up in Las Vegas, he played for south Idaho junior college which he led to win the 2011 NJCAA while being selected as seasonal MVP averaging 18.6P and 4.4A per game. He then played two years for Baylor which he led to win the NIT tournament in his senior year (2013) while becoming an all stand out in the NCAA averaging 19.8P and 7.1A.
 
In the summer of 2013 he was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers as the 42nd pick,
however he played for their affiliation D-League team Idaho Stampede where he set the record for most points scored in a game with 58!! (Which was broken in 2016) he finished that game with 24/33 FG’s with 7/13 from long range. In 2014 he averaged for Idaho 29.1P 6.2A per game in February (2014) he joined Fenerbache where he played six games in the EuroLeague.
    
 Pierre missed the entire 2014/15 season due to an Achilles injury,
he  the 2016/17 season playing for Cedevita Zagreb where he signed a one month deal, he played 2 games in the EuroCup scoring 29 and 38 points respectively, in the Adriatic league he averaged 15.8P and 6.6A. In November of that year he returned to the D-League for the Texas Legends and after playing 10 games for them he was called to play for the Dallas Mavericks where he averaged in 8 games 4.4P, 2.4A in 10.5MPG.
 
Jackson then returned to the D-League, where he averaged 22.5P (59% for 2P, 37% for 3P and 84% FT’s), 7.7A for the Texas Legends. During the Orlando summer
league Pierre averaged 15.8P & 5.8A in 24MPG playing for the Detroit Pistons.
