The District Court rejected Jerusalem’s request to overturn the decision of the arbitrator and declared explicitly: Jerusalem may not create obstacles over Guy Pnini’s signing with Maccabi.

Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv wishes to make the issue of Guy Pnini clear:
The decision of the arbitrator given earlier in the matter of Guy Pnini was upheld yesterday in whole and in part by the District Court in Jerusalem, which rejected the request of Hapoel Jerusalem to overturn the decision of the arbitrator.
Guy Pnini will be a player for Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv starting in the 2009/10 season, and as was written yesterday in the decision of the district court Hapoel Jerusalem may not create obstacles of any kind in this matter.
In the matter of compensation for appreciation in value, the earlier determination of the arbitrator was upheld.
Maccabi maintains the position that Pnini has been a player with Maccabi Tel Aviv ever since his days on the club’s youth team, and was later loaned out by that team; and, according to the regulations Jerusalem is not entitled to any form of compensation for the player’s appreciation in value.
In short, according to Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv, no fundamental changes were applied yesterday.
