The 26-year-old Israeli point guard, who grew up in the club’s prestigious youth department, arrives from the French league after two and a half seasons playing in Europe. Coach Kattash: “He will give us additional depth”
Ebo is an Israeli guard with international experience, on a steady upward trajectory. He is a true team player who looks to create for others and, of course, a product of Maccabi’s youth system.
“Amit Ebo is a tough player with versatile abilities at the guard position,” analyzed head coach Oded Kattash. “Over a long season with many games, he will give us additional depth in our rotation. We are very pleased that he is a homegrown player who developed at Maccabi and is returning to us at the arena.”

Amit Ebo was born on October 6, 1999, and grew up in Matan. He began playing for Hapoel Kfar Saba, later joined the academy at the Wingate Institute, and in ninth grade moved to Maccabi Tel Aviv’s youth department. He excelled in the State Cup final, winning the title with the junior team, and was promoted to the club’s top youth squad.
The young guard was a key player on teams that won two youth doubles. He was included in the senior roster during the 2016/17 season, made one appearance (and even hit a three-pointer), and that same year was selected to the Adidas Next Generation Tournament All-Tournament Team in Belgrade, averaging 22.8 points, 4.3 assists, 2.5 steals and 2.8 rebounds per game.
Over the years, Ebo has played for Hapoel Eilat, Maccabi Rishon LeZion, Maccabi Ashdod, Ironi Ness Ziona, as well as Hapoel Ramat Gan and Ramat Hasharon. In the 2023/24 season, he signed with Komarno in the Slovak league and impressed with averages of 22.1 points, 4.8 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game. During that season, he moved to Nevzis in Lithuania, where he established himself as a leading point guard. Last season in Lithuania, he averaged 16.4 points and 8.5 assists in 28.7 minutes per game.
This past summer, he joined Boulazac Dordogne in southwestern France. So far this season in the French league, he has appeared in 15 games, averaging 22.7 minutes per game, contributing 11 points (38.3% from three-point range) and 3.1 assists per night.
